Privacy Policy

Overview

LingoPop, an app from Unitz IT GmbH, based in Berlin, Germany ("we", "our", or "the app") is committed to your privacy. This policy explains what data we collect and how we use it when you use our mobile application.

We do not collect your data for the core app

When you use LingoPop without signing in, we do not collect, store, or share your personal data. You can play daily puzzles, build streaks locally on your device, and enjoy the full puzzle experience without creating an account or providing any information to us.

Optional sign-in: rankings and streaks

If you choose to sign in to see your rankings on the leaderboard and to sync your streak across devices, we use the following services:

• Clerk — for authentication. When you sign in, Clerk handles your sign-in method (e.g. email, Apple, Google). We do not store your password. Clerk's processing is subject to their privacy policy: clerk.com/privacy.
• Convex — for our backend. When you are signed in, we store only what is needed for rankings and streak sync (e.g. your user id, display name, scores, and streak data). This data is used solely to power the leaderboard and to restore your streak when you use the app on another device. Convex's infrastructure and privacy practices can be found at convex.dev/legal/privacy-policy.

We do not sell your data. We do not use your data for advertising or marketing. We use it only to provide the sign-in, leaderboard, and streak sync features you opt into.

Data we do not collect

We do not collect analytics, device identifiers, or tracking data for users who are not signed in. We do not use third-party advertising or cross-app tracking. We do not collect location data, contacts, or any data unrelated to optional sign-in and leaderboard/streak functionality.

Your choices

You can use LingoPop without ever signing in. If you have signed in, you can sign out from within the app. You may also contact us if you want to request deletion of data associated with your account.

Changes

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. We will post the updated policy on this page and update the "Last updated" date. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
